Welcome to Walker's Tae Kwon Do! We are home to the best Martial Arts Students & Families in the area. If you are looking for the utmost in Tae Kwon Do training you have found it. Each year students training at Walker's Tae Kwon Do earn more awards than all other area schools combined! Our record clearly shows that our team of instrustor's, are without a doubt, the most experienced and accomplished in Bloomington / Normal. However, our program is not driven by awards, but driven by the belief & knowledge that Tae Kwon Do improves lives and pushes individuals to become better people.
A Note From Master Walker
I began training in 1984 and after relocating to Bloomington, I was finding either "chainstore" style Martial Arts where the instructor's were more professional salesmen with huge sales pitches than instructors, or schools with much lower quality training than I was used to.
I made the decision in 1999 to open classes with a vision to re-establish the integrity to the Martial Arts that I felt was being lost to "commercialism". My vision included providing not only the highest quality training to individuals and families, but offering the most affordable rates.
By putting our students & families first, maintaining a hard working training & family atmosphere that is second to none, through the years we have progressed from a 10x12 room in the basement to our current 6000 sq. foot location. This is the largest Tae Kwon Do facility in Bloomington / Normal.
I require that before anyone signs up for a full membership that they enroll in our 2 week trial program. The reason for this is I want you to be sure our program is for you, your child or your family. I want you to have the chance to experience our complete training program and speak with other students and parents. Our trial program is only $29.99 and you receive a FREE uniform.
Some things that you will never find at Walker's Tae Kwon Do include:
